they certainly don't 'need one'. but i'd be well happy with a more powerful and smaller iPad that i'd use mostly for music production. Something that fits in my bag a bit more comfortably and is better for touch screen operations than my iTouch.
look at all the sizes and flavors of the iPods. same will happen to iPads.
I was hoping for a 15" one... :)
Interesting idea that we might have a whole line up of iPads in the future. I think that might deserve a whole post of it's own.
