It really proves nothing, unless all four devices are running the same version of the iOS after a fresh install, w/ no apps or media, whatsoever, on any of them.
Pretty sure he is right, I just used my sisters iPhone 4 which has far less apps and data on it and I noticed it restarts way faster.
