Groovemaker on the cover of SOS

I don't normally buy Sound on Sound but when I saw this I decided that I might get a copy and read about their views on the iOS 'revolution'. I haven't started reading the article as yet, but I did notice that the copy of Groovemaker on the cover is a 2x version of an iPhone Groovemaker app and not an iPad native one. I thought that was a bit strange.

I suspect they've picked an area of the app to display which is most eye catching with funky looking images - the pads, the waveform, the buttons and the level monitor...some of each and not too many - keeping it nice & simple for a quick glance on the shelves.

Groovemaker is an odd choice though...not the first thought for an iOS revolution! Possibly the least used app on my iPad. Maybe I'm not revolutionary enough?!

Funny how Sound on Sound never answered that question on the cover.. I guess they know who buys their magazines after all :)
