Could PlayStation Vita be a viable mobile music platform?
The hardware is pretty impressive and could be quite amazing if coupled with the right music creation software, but the big question is whether or not Sony has the appetite to open up this platform to developers in the same way as Apple and Google have done.
My personal view is that if they did and if the terms and tools were workable it could compete, but of course it would be up to developers to work out if it was viable for them and their existing code.
What do you think?

sony embracing indie devs? i don't see it happening...
the closest they'll come to making a contribution is if xperia play and it's descendents pushes the hardware standards for android platforms.

People who wants to make music with a specific device will... end of story.
Because it has a fast processor and a touch screen, I'd be surprised NOT to see any music app made for the Vita.
But it doesn't mean it will be mainstream, just like making music with the PSP (or the Palm? :) wasn't mainstream.. but that didn't stopped people from doing it.
It is already!
watch the sound shapes video!!!
