Bhajis Loops and Microbe are now free!

Yep, you can now get the totally awesome Bhajis Loops and Microbe for free! If you don't know these applications, they're for the now long abandoned Palm operating system, but if you're interested you should get yourself a Pam Tungsten T3 from eBay or a Palm Tungsten TX for that matter and try these applications out. They're certainly worth the cost of a second hand device.

In fact, even if you don't plan to get the hardware anytime soon I'd advise you to get the software just in case it vanishes at some point.

Thanks Olivier!

Tip : Palm Tungsten T5 and TX have a constant hiss in the sound output, which is quasi transparent when you listen to mp3s, but not so good if you want to record tracks you made with a Palm OS app.

The Tungsten TE is great though.

Has anybody tried Bhajis or Microbe in a PalmOS emulator on IOS or Android?

@Anon, not sure that there are any for Android as yet. Back in March last year StyleTap started to talk about doing an emulator for Android

Nothing since though.

I'm not sure where you'd find it now but there is a Winamp plugin for playing back Bhaji files. I never made a real careful comparison but it seemed to work OK. Could be a solution for rendering rather than recording the hissy output from the Palm.

Bhajis can also export a mixdown in a .wav file.

From Chocopoolp's website :
(Talking about Bhajisloops)
"More than 7 years ago, this full-featured music production app rocked the PalmOS world... with a feature set and an ease of use iOS apps took years to match!

Smartphones are so sad. We are now having a blast hacking real music hardware! "

It made me smile, this guy is great :)
