I posted this when it first came out, but then there was a problem with it and it had to be taken off the app store. Now it's back again! The Palm Sounds version of the awesome little noise app
Sprak.
So if you like making noises and want to celebrate the Palm Sounds 5th birthday then take a look at PalmSprak!
Oh yes, and the app is only
$0.99

I've been trying to hear examples of this app for awhile- the palm sounds skin is awesome.
Since it's a "signature" app- can you post some example sounds or a video or something?
Or if someone knows where to hear SPRAK noises- share please.
I bought it but I seem to not get it to work. It is not crashing, but it is running very very slow. Reaction time on the buttons are probably around 10 seconds and no sound for me. Maybe my 2g ipod is too old.
It's your iPod I'm afraid. It won't work on my iPhone either (3G). I must say it is a bit of a bummer especially when you consider so much stuff WILL work. Normally the reason it won't work, is because the developer either needs to turn the "this will work on older devices" function on in the plist within Xcode, but sometimes, it's because the code was written in C++ rather than using Apple's obj-c and a bunch of Apple's impossible to understand API's. And just for a laugh, the early hardware is different compared to the hardware from the 3G onwards. But then again that wouldn't explain why it doesn't work on my phone! Fwiw, we had exactly the same problem with our ring modulator app- that doesn't work on older 2g models either.
So yes, Arghhhhh!
If you can't get it working, try Nick Collins' software instead- which pretty much sounds the same at many times (but can do much more as well)- and works on older hardware.
Cheers Tom, that makes sense I think... I might try that app out. :)
