All some ill minded creep has to do is wait for you to go to sleep and hold the phone under your thumb... Presto! Didnt even need to wake you up or somehow figure out what your pin code is... Furthermore, its all a scam to get everybodys fingerprints on file somewhere... Also, it would turn ourselves into targets to exploit...
Just saying...
(Personally, i dont even use the password on the lockscreen..lol)

Also, I typically do not fall asleep whilst in the company of "ill minded creeps" as well, but that's just me. :)
surely Apple will not collect your fingerprints.
and they will not post them to the NSA.
