So many of the assumptions in this video are just dead wrong. As you well know, the old tech didn't wear out. My Palm IIIX still works fine, as do my Treos. Desktop computers were always modular. They're mostly not anymore, for good reason. There's no point. The old generations didn't obsolesce because they wore out, they obsolesced because the bus architecture couldn't keep up with the data. This proposal does nothing to address that issue.
