Still having problems with video?

I've noticed at least one comment recently about problems with video. I know there were problems before on YouTube but I thought they were fixed now, so if you're still having problems please let me know.

Also, I'm trying to label each post with a video with the label 'video' to help with identification.

Hi there, the problem I see with video is linked with Vimeo only. Youtube is always fine. So if a Vimeo video is attached to your post, the screen that pops up is: "No Mobile Version - there's no mobile version of this video. Learn More about Vimeo Plus and mobile video versions. This happens on my iPhone only with an RSS reader, not on the desktop online version. Hope that helps.

I still get the no video problem. Audio works fine but the video is a no show. I usually just use the YouTube app itself if that happens and it works fine.

As long as Apple keeps denying Flash on their devices, IOS users will have to expect problems with videos on the internet. Sad but true.

Apple has to adapt to the world, the world doesn't need to adapt to Apple. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to fix that.

If you don't mind using some elbow grease, I strongly suggest trying out Frash on jailbroken devices. It makes IOS devices useful for the internet again.

Yeah crappy Flash argument! A bigger and more real issue, I think, is that different RSS readers handle video differently. I have used many on my iPhone and some of them just didn't do well with video formats, or sometimes you have to open the story in a separate browser window. And when that happens, sometimes you don't even have any clue that there is a video in the post, so vodeo labeling stories with videos would be helpful. I currently use Pulse to keep up here, and videos work well most of the time.

Palm Sounds takes ages to load. YouTube vids turn up, then they stop, only to reappear again. It's like the blog isn't caching properly. If I follow a link from Palm Sounds, many times I return only to have to load the whole page once again. This may be a fault or shortcoming of the Blogger software though.
