Mine came in a couple weeks ago and I've used it almost every day since. I have only one complaint and it's the same one everyone seems to be having...the dock connection isn't very secure. It's very easy to lose connection if the GuitarJack or the iPhone/iPad gets bumped.
The features on GuitarJack blow pretty much every other iOS guitar adapter out of the water however, I think Apogee has the right idea for a more stable connection with their Jam. That being said, GuitarJack 2's sound quality and durable construction make it IMO the absolute best bang for the buck. Plus, the ability to record a stereo source AND a guitar line at the same time make it a go-to device for any musician with an iWhatever.
If there were such a thing as an Apple dock connector extension cord (male 30 pin to female 30 pin doesn't sound that difficult to manufacture) it would make this thing the PERFECT interface.
I probably should've googled them before posting that...youre absolutely right! They do make them and they're relatively cheap. Found one by a company called Radtech for $12. This means i no longer have to take my iPad out of the otter box to use my Alesis io dock! Bitchin'!!!
I will post the links when I get home- I just bought guitar jack and spent a good amount of time looking as well. If u type iPhone dock extension cable there is both extensions and cables.

I think I've seen the extention you're talking about. Maybe on Monoprice.com or Amazon.
