So, why is there no Delia Derbyshire iOS app?
It struck me that whilst there is a really good app dedicated to Daphne Oram's work, there's nothing similar in any way for Delia Derbyshire. In fact, even if you search iTunes you'll find very little.
I think it's a real shame that there isn't a Delia Derbyshire app. Something that celebrated her work, something like Berna / Berna 2 maybe?

MorphWiz for Windows ...
"Using snagit editor for Windows8 to capture playing around with Morphwiz for Windows8. The audio clipping is the snagit screen capture tool (even at half volume - maybe there's a setting I can change). Morphwiz' sound is actually pretty good; clear range with no clipping..."

Audiofile Engineering on what's next and life after 'starting the FIRe'
I can understand where they want to focus their energy and it makes a lot of sense to me. But I won't give away too much. If you want to know what they've got planned then have a read of their post "So ... what's next?".
Rode Microphones purchases FIRe iOS app
Audiofile Engineering have sold their app FIRe to Rode Microphones. It comes as a surprise, but I guess it is good news. For the app anyway.
What would you like to see next in Audiobus?
Audiobus has been a great step forward for iOS music, but it's been a while since there have been any new features. So I thought I'd ask what you're waiting for in Audiobus? What do you want next?
For me it would be mainly around recipes or routes and better routing for effects apps, and of course, MIDI.
How about you?

Abandoned Dance Party - Frozen Lonesome
When I saw this at Discchord I knew I had to post the video too. Once you read the description you might understand why:
Abandoned Dance Party is my contribution to the compilation Bedroom Cassette Masters 1980-89 Volume Three. "Sounds like vintage electronica, looks like vintage electronica..."
A third compilation of synth & drum machine tracks (with the occasional vocal) most of which were recorded in bedrooms all over the world between 1980-89. All have been produced with the same DIY, lo-fi analogue spirit in mind. In my case this was produced in 2013, but attention was paid to give it a 1988 sound and feel. Music, programming and video done by me. Check out my contribution to BCM 2 - Travel Ban by Transit Authority.

Watching the Rob Papen 4 Element Synth DVDs
Actually watching these has been a lot easier than I expected. Often these kind of DVDs can be very dry indeed and not much fun to watch, but even though the Rob Papen book / DVD set is very technical and does go down into a low level of detail it's not boring in my opinion.
In fact I've found myself realising that there's been quite a few things I've learnt from this package and even more things that have been worth going over again.
It's a detailed package but I've been surprised by how much fun it is to use.

It's Monday, is there anything that needs adding into the wait list? Let me know if there is, or just take a look and see what's coming up.
Are you using Dropbox with your apps?
If you're not using dropbox then it's something you should to check out as loads of apps are now using it as a default for online storage and for a variety of other purposes too, and it works quite well in my view. If you're not using it you can get your own dropbox by clicking this link, and what's more you'll get an extra 500mb just for using this link (and so will I)!
