+ Real improvements in the interface.
- Disappointing: no audio recording, no ACP.
+ Unlooked for: a good number of new instruments, both for the full version and for instrument packs that I purchased.
Since the update i have had constant distorted sound on ipad 2 and i was even about to upgrade it after seeing it was ipad supported now.. No hope switching compatibility mode or any other settings.. Im pretty sure there is a pitch mismatch in sounds as well
Correction: v1.1 _does_ have audio recording, but no ACP.
I haven't had the distorted sounds Martin talks about above -- at least so far. But he's maybe done more with it than I have.
They did fix an issue with audio distortion when using the Alesis IO Dock. That's a great thing. I like the recording feature, though it's limited in that you can't really see what you are recording, and there's no way to start/stop it if you are using another app as a controller.
They also changed some of the default behavior with midi channels... you now have to select all the parts you want to be accessible before switching to another app/controller. I don't get that.
All in all, though, it's a good update, and looks great on the iPad now.
