When I plugged mine in, I thought it was defective or I'd done something wrong as I heard no sound or noise. Then I strummed my guitar. The quality really is awesome.
Maybe an extension cord between the 30 pin connector on the iDevice and the Guitar Jack would aleve the connection problem.
