Well, aside from the application shown on the iPad, it might be a nice compact MIDI controller that holds an iPad (kinda wish there was small Akai keyboard for the iPad in the same vein as the iPhone - I know it makes sense to have a big one, but just sayin' :)
i called ion about this.It should be out in september..in addition to the built in teaching tool,its going to be core midi compliant ..so it will make a nice doc for the ipad to use with other synth and daw apps,which is what id us it for anyway....i plan on incorprorating it into my set up because of the compact size....

Well, if Akai aren't going to release the SynthSataion49...
