BeatPad and Shruthi-1

Do you know what this is?

If you know what this little device is that's attached to this old TRG Pro then you'll know just how excited I am.

BeatPad controlling DM1 and NLog on an iPad

I hadn't visited the Mozzi site for ages and lots has changed

If you're an Arduino user and you don't know about Mozzi then you should really treat yourself and take a look. Mozzi is an amazing library for arduino for real time synthesis. It's amazing. Take a look and listen to some of the samples. You'll be really impressed by what a humble little arduino can do.

The most Palm serial to MIDI adapters I've seen, and they're all mine!

Going to have some fun with these ...

Using AxisPad with Shruthi

Using Audulus effects in Audiobus

As I posted this morning about Audulus in Audiobus, and so thought it would be worth posting about just how amazing Audulus is in the FX slot.

Of course, there are some brilliant dedicated FX apps that you can use, but if you want something completely tailored to your own needs then Audulus might just be the place to look. It's got quite a range of FX nodes that can be used in any patch. To say it's versatile would be an understatement for sure.

So, if you were wondering how you might use an app like Audulus then you this could be one use that really makes sense.

Palm OS App of the Day: BeatPad from miniMusic ... running on a Zodiac 2 using GM and Krikit sounds

BeatPad running on my Zodiac device, which is quite unique Palm device as it had its own GM chip and could run miniMusic's krikit sound engine as well. The Zodiac was built as a Palm OS gaming device really and so it was quite different in terms of its hardware design.

As it's a bank holiday in the UK ...

... and bank holidays are for celebrating, I think today's a good opportunity to celebrate miniMusic for being pioneers of mobile music for well over a decade.

So, expect Palm OS goodness today ...

Anything new for the wait list?

It's Monday, is there anything that needs adding into the wait list? Let me know if there is, or just take a look and see what's coming up.

And the daily rebuttal is ...

From Dave ... "and then#DailyRebuttal same premise, while pushing the experimental, instrumental aspects of an ipad."

I can see how this might give some really awesome results, but my only worry would be how you could keep a clear idea of what was making what sound.

And the vintage synth top trump of the day is ...
