CDM Initial look at Zoom R8
CDM takes a quick look at the R8. One interesting point to note:
The I/O and faders and knobs don’t go to waste when you’re connected to a computer via USB; you get 2×2 audio operation, plus a MIDI control surface. (I’m not sure if that’s class-compliant for iOS / Android / Linux, but I’ll find out.)
I think it'll be very interesting to know about the iOS / Android issue. Even so I do like the look of this device. Very tempting, although the tiny LCD screen and interface will be a downside.

WWDC Banner
I just liked this shot from AppleInsider. I think the whole Lion + 5 thing emphasises what they were say at their 'Back to the Mac' event. In using some of the iOS innovation in Lion. I hope what we'll see on Monday will be showing how the mobile and desktop can integrate better for an improved all around service.
We'll see.

There will be five parts in the CoreMIDI series, one for each year of @PalmSounds five year birthday. Sorry I'm late finishing it! Happy 5!

Bjork album comes with 10 apps
I saw this via iPad Creative. It sounds like an interesting album but 10 apps does sound a little over the top.

Syntheticbits blog: CoreMIDI Brain Dump, Part 1: Intro
Here's a great post from Syntheticbits on CoreMIDI. This is just the first of these as well, so there's more to come.
If you're a developer thinking of adding CoreMIDI to your app(s) then this is really worth looking at as I know that a lot of hard work has gone into it.
