On one hand, it's nice to see these updates on an update. The problem for me is that there have been quite a few of these over the last year an a half or so, but there's no info on when or indeed what will be included or when on earth it'll actually be released.
At some point you wonder why he wouldn't just put the major things in, and get it in the store, then just work on smaller incremental updates. As it's never had any updates, surely the update would not only keep the current user base happy but also newer ios music makers, for whom, unless an app has a lengthy feature list, it's considered useless and therefore pass on it.
All this time and there's still nothing quite like it. Fingers crossed for a release this year. (No sarcasm or offence intended).

I'm worrying about it gets the vapor cycle when it's taking too long. OS gets updates rather quickly and new features and etc will be add. Program code will be felt obsolete and it will look writing from scratch will feel faster than implementing new stuff to current code or fixing it. Then aiming too high, before finishing new code another OS or something updates taking place and feels obsolete... motivation and time will be lost eventually and then left another vaparware..

news is in a comment from the dev:

"trying to finish dev in the next two weeks. after that, there will be a short period of bug fixes and preparing the app store submission. if all goes well, it should be submitted by mid to late feb. if not, it still won't be much longer after that (unless apple rejects the update... ). a lot of the more experimental features that i've been sharing here are fun diversions that have been helping keep me motivated (since most of the remaining tasks are a bit more on the tedious, administrative end...). thanks for your patience!"
