Retronyms are offering their new X2 Splitter device for free and all the other new effects for only $0.99!
The X2 will remain free forever, but the effects are only on sale until the end of the day on Tuesday. In addition to the new FX modules they've updated the rest of the app. Here's what's new:
- New compressor sidechaining template.
- Added a button that previews sounds in the Gridlok load menu.
- Improved RS3 performance for fast note triggering.
- Fixed a bug in the turntable that made the tonearm vanish.
- Fixed an issue where individual samples from factory presets did not appear in gridlok menus.
- Improved sample previewing in sample-browsing menus.
- Fixed a bug that cause devices to lock up when dragging from device list.
- Fixed a routing bug that caused cables to be drawn from the wrong device.
- Various performance and stability improvements.

It's good to see that Retronyms rewarded me for being an early adopter by unlocking all new FX for free... :)
Got the email earlier today from Rebekah explaining the process - what an excellent customer service :)
Now if we can have that long awaited and requested to death MIDI sync for iPad ReBirth pretty please... ;)
It should be noted that this updated includes quite a few new effects: hi-pass filter, bit-crusher, compressor, limiter, expander, in addition to the splitter.

Still poor performance on iPad1. 1x Gridlock, 1x MX8R, 1x 4 channel mixer, and 1x Reverb or Delay unit. Unacceptable clicking and glitches are encountered. Worst performing app I have. Very disappointed. Thanks for the new effects, and the reduced prices, but if I can't use more than three devices - what's the point. And yes, I've rebooted, and yes, I don't have any other apps running.
@Anonymous
Expect more of this. The single core ipad1 is soon to be phased out by new apps.
@Anonymous 1
Lucky you!
I got the email as an early adopter saying they'd see what they could do at future updates given what we'd paid for the original effects. Alas no email with any offers today!
Already bought the expander and the bit crusher so would be a little late now.......
@skipp - you should email support@retronyms.com to find out if you had got skipped or something.
@anonymous #3 - we have stated that the Reverb is not ideal for iPad 1. We are always working on improving performance, but reverb is a very CPU intensive process.
@Anon 5:
Not ideal? Lol. The master of understatement!
Funny how every other I have that has reverb (and that's a lot!) works with no problems whatsoever. I wouldn't say I regret buying Tabletop; I'm just so very disappointed because I really liked it. Oh well, I'll just have to make do with all the other awesome apps I have, and am going to have, that will run on the iPad1 /:-}
Anon 5.
Where did you state that info about the reverb on the iPad1? And do these new effects work on iPad1?

Maybe it"s time for an iPad upgrade..? There will be more and more apps that will utilise extended iPad 2 capabilities and and will require it as a minimum to run.
I am truly surprised that we haven't seen that already...
Just lucky I guess (i'm iPad 1 owner as well), because I'm hanging around for much improved (performance wise) iPad 3... :)

In the guide.
I didn't get any email that I noticed, but I just did the "register" thing and it unlocked all the new effects, w00t!! Very nice. Now I'm just waiting for line-in or mic-in on that recorder module. :-)
Hang on guys....
The only reason I've got a freebee this time round is because I've purchased ALL Packages on the day one...
And I have registered as well ... ;)
Same here fyi. I had purchased all the effects before they made 'em cheaper, so I wrote & got on some list to be more or less reimbursed thru future modules. I just didn't expect it would be so seamless, all I had to do was put in my email in and boom! New stuff.
Same here...:)
FYI:
If you bought the effects when they were 4.99 each and responded to our call for early adopters, you were added to the list. You should have got an email that described how to redeem the new effects.
@Skipp - should try registering. :)
