Are Apple going to introduce app 'rentals'?

A few sites have picked up this news / rumour. I think I like the idea of a trial period, but the real proof will be in how it is implemented, and I guess that if it does arrive there'll be a lot of 'lite' apps that will slowly get deleted off the store.

I think this is a good idea..you can have the app for 24 hrs and then choose to buy or not

Save buying crap basically

And it would also curb certain devs who deliberately sell apps that don't work, especially one hip hop producer...

It's a rubbish idea. Especially is you consider how cheap apps already are. You can't make a living out of iOS apps- unless you're either extremely lucky, and/or you have no family and enjoy a steady diet of lentils everyday!

Stop whining and pay your money. If you don't like your £1 app, bin it. You'd do the same with food!

test versions of 10 or 20$ apps, are you kidding?

It would be good for those who doesn't provide Lite or Free versions of their apps. There's quite a few 10-20$ apps that I wouldn't have purchased if I could've tryed them before.
