Apparently there is no live stream of the Apple event

I'm hearing from a variety of sites that apparently there will be no love stream of the event from Apple.

Anyone know otherwise?

As far as I know, Apple never provides a live stream of their events. The video becomes available after the fact but websites like Engadget do provide running coverage while the presentation is happening.

It's a strategy I never quite understood. Amazon did the same thing last week. Perhaps bandwidth becomes a serious issue when millions are trying to access your website at one time.

There were live streams of the previous apple events, only the last one (ipad2) wasnt live, since everybody is buying apple now, think of millions of ppl trying to reach your website @ the same time and for hours - ddos.

Imagine apple giving a keynote and nobody can watch it, huh, what? come again? what du you mean, there's no x-mas this year?!

There will apparently only be one live stream- to the United Kingdom for journo's over here.

Perhaps you could muscle in there Ash? Palm Sound's server would be inundated!!

the servers can barely handle live blogging for these events.

engadget and macrumors were down have the time today.

Most companies would realease minor updates through a press release! Did anything actually change on the iPod Touch?

Anyway, it's probably enough of a tweak to the iPhone to keep them ahead for now. As a PAYG low usage user it is probably not worth the £££ for me to upgrade my 3GS but it would be attractive on contract to average usage users.

My favorite part is when they claimed the new iphone is more powerful than gaming consoles. Yes, they did.

1:56PM "We're going to show you some graphics techniques that aren't even available on home gaming consoles."

iLarious!! :D

I said it would be an anticlimax.

Still, only a few days to wait for iOS 5 :)
