Wow, those are quite a waste of time and energy. But I guess if you have it to spare, why not?
I don't even see the discs spinning,.. I wouldn't call this a turntable, but still I guess it can be fun building this kind of thing.

Or about any activity humans fill their time with, worse than waisting time is taking the time to comment on it. :) i'm no better with this comment on a comment...
