The touting of feature-sets isn't my idea of a proper review.
When does he get around to the crashing during X/Y control of effects? The inability to save keyboard config base presets? The poor sample preview functionality?
I like BM, and I trust they'll remedy these headaches, but when you review a product, you NEED to discuss pros and cons... unless of course there AREN'T any cons!
Does anybody have an opinion on BM2 verses Nano Studio? I am just curious. I really like Nano Studio. They seem similar to me. I am sure they both have there strengths and weaknesses. Any thoughts?
I think someone else kind of expressed it best. That the difference is work-flow.
Nano Studio has sample production and some great Eden synths. 2x samples 4x synth.
Beatmaker is more based on a all sample work-flow.
I think both are great Nano stands out as the Eden synth sounds great and is very different than the beatmaker synth (functions effecting your sample) / sampler.
The Beatmaker samplers allow for more samples per instrument. You can choose which instruments you use. Edit samples, do sample sliceing. More effects and routing are available. It is a very deep sample based music tool.
I like both and get different results due to the sounds availble in Nanostudio. I bring a lot of samples from other apps into Beatmaker and combine the sounds there.
I am amazed at Ableton's complete invisibility in regards to any development they might be up to for the ipad. I am a fan of Live but lately the laptop seems antiquated, and the software out of reach if i can't touch stuff. I don't buy into wifi control and all the hassle. Want to fire up and play. When are the goods coming Ableton ?

one pet peeve I have with these samples is that the kits are too individualized, not so useful for general use and additional processing.
lol, review doesn't mean to read aloud what the PR team wrote on the packet, back to homework sonicstate?
