MIDI over Wi-Fi: BassLine in sync with MoDrum via CoreMIDI's built-in Network Driver

Amazing!

With the latest update for MoDrum (v1.1) and BassLine (v3.2), Finger is the first to fully exhaust the opportunities provided by Apple's CoreMIDI API for iOS.

Tempo-sync apps on your multitasking-capable device, or get the ultimate band experience by syncing several iOS devices with each other or your favorite DAW!

As I mentioned in the other BassLine/MoDrum thread, I have a bunch of iOS devices I use to test apps, so I hooked several of them up like in the video.

iPod Touch 2G running BassLine
iPod Touch 3G running BassLine
iPod Touch 4G running BassLine
iPad running BassLine + MoDrum and sending sync to the others.

Everything synced up, it worked great. Really cool.

BassLine also syncs to FunkBox. Molten also sort of works with it, at least until you change the tempo :P

I'm glad I kept my iPad 1, now time to update it with 4.3 and midi sync it with iPad 2. WooooooHoooooo! I can't way till all my favorite midi apps have this functionality.

It would be dope if Multitrack added this functionality. It Would be killer.

my ipod touch 4 didnt get any improvement from 4.3,
slower, less memory, battery empty quicker, blurry screen with glitches and about every app crashes within minutes.

(Of which non occured before updating
The support commented to re-install the app again from the store)

Funkbox is rocking my little world right now 8) It's working really well on my ageing 2g iPod (albeit with a low volume out- bit of a shame there). Can't wait to be able to sync this thing up to something else :)
