I'm happy that I caved in and bought the Gorillaz iElectribe version, it's a lot of fun and I'm gaga over the groovy graphics :) ..... it also gave me a renewed interest in the plain old iElectribe. I hope that by supporting this version it will encourage a samples based iElectribe.
Well, I just saw your question and checked the payload, but saw nothing even close to resembling a wav file in there. Lots of png graphic files, a couple of folders with very strange extensions, a folder of with encrypted data, but I wasn't able to see anything to swap.
Do you have the regular iElectribe app? There are some samples for snares, claps, and hats, so maybe the location could be found on that one to extract and replace the files?

Go on. How much are they paying you then Ash? lol!
I ended up giving up to the siren call by clicking on the link and buying.
As I suspected looking at how the pros set up their songs gave me a much deeper understanding on how to set up songs on a electribe.
A real jump start.
I gave in and bought it last night. It's pretty fun! Hopefully a real samples based Electribe will be available soon.
I hope that buying this branded version doesn't push Korg in the $10 branded drum machine direction.
Remember buying 12" records just for the bonus beats? Getting a whole drum machine with the bonus beats for $10 seems like a good deal!

I second all of that, Marlene! Those are my thoughts exactly. :)
Robert, Marlene, have you tried opening up the ipa as I suggested? Look for swappable wav files?

I'll check. But it may have to be next week now, as I'm off on holiday for few days in an hour or so, where I'm Internet free. :)
@ Robert .... I had the same results as you in checking both versions of iElectribe so I think bringing in your own files is a bust :(
Yes the samples are encrypted it seems.
