My guess is that with some many phones (and other devices) having cameras and HD video the market for small handheld camcorders might be drying up. Still, it is a shame.
End of the line for Flip Video
I've been reading on a few sites about the decision by CISCO to drop Flip Video. A real shame in my opinion. I've still got mine and it is a great little piece of hardware.

To be honest I thought they were rubbish- especially in low light situations, and when trying to film close up. And for £100+ or whatever they were, it's hardly surprising that they have flopped. Oh well they'll be cheap on eBay now, so that's one good thing! :)

Its sad, but those guys had to see it coming, with just about every portable device having a camera competition was fierce.
