Before Fairlight split their app into 'player' and 'pro' versions the 'pro' version was an in app purchase. Did anyone buy it, and did it work ok after they changed it into two apps?

I didn't even buy the fairlight. But then I suppose you've already worked that one out by now? ;)
Yes i purchased the original Fairlight app and updated it in app to the full version. Still works fine since the split, only difference is the icon says player despite it being the pro version. I checked with the developers and they said there is no difference and that the original version will function and update just the same. Seems to me though that the developers will now need to support two apps instead of one when they update it.
meh.. the price was made to appeal to the people who have been hoping to buy a real Fairlight their whole life. There's plenty of apps priced higher than this one that do less.
Maybe you should create your own blog to complain about all of them all the time? I'm not joking, you could spend even more time detailing how all those apps fails and how they could be fixed, instead of doing this in comments. You could call it "iOS Apps that are responsible for genocides".
no i didnt upgrade, because im also missing features... the way the appstore works no developer makes extra cash for good updates, i dont think it sells well, so i dont think ill get the updates i want
I wasn't attacking you, I was just saying that if you believe you have a lot of things to say about apps, having a blog is another way to make your voice heard, .. but yeah, I was joking about the name :)
And to respond to your challenge, I'd say Aurora HD, 40$ for a pimped out Tenori-on app that I think doesn't have MIDI. Most DJ mixing apps are overpriced as well, have you seen ModernDJ newest price scheme? And what about GPS apps? :)
@johnnyg0 Some DJ apps are high priced products but they get regular updates even the developer make no extra cash. That is a big difference, so they are obliviously not overpriced because they become continuously development, some of them since 2009! They getting stronger and stronger and soon they are in competition with DJ applications running on Mac or PC which cost many times more...

Also, I really enjoy adding really pointless comments to your posts. Being redundant is what I do best!
Point taken. :)
I bought the player version and immediately upgraded Pro on day one. Works beautifully! :-)

The price was unforgivable.
Not being able to draw waveforms is a crime against humanity.

It's just a crippled, $9.99 app that he expects people to pay an "extra" $40.00 to "fix".
Rip off.
@johnnyg0
Pfft. Again with the personal attacks.
Name 1 music app that's priced higher that does less.
