I remember this when it first came out from Amidio. Today they've re-released it with a slightly different name and it's free too. If you don't remember the app from the first time around, here's the description:
There are 5 different sample sets. Each sample set consists of 2 playable instruments and a background drone layer (generated automatically).
You can define the length and speed (bpm) of the loop. Switch between the instruments with a finger flick/tap. Change note scales and actually see which notes you are playing. Transpose scales if needed.
Star Melody features the "Raindrop Matrix", which allows accurate panning position of your instruments (left and right), and precise note launch.
- 16x11 multicolor "Raindrop Matrix"
- Spatial sequencing
- 13 transposable scales
- 15 instruments (5*3)
- Variable tempo, speed
- Built-in help
- Record, play from library, overdub
- .WAV output
- Built-in Wi-Fi server
- Supports iTunes File Sharing

Great! Amidio are the best developers, value for money and highest quality apps
Songineer is the most advanced sequencer out there and touch dj is easily the best in that league. Gorgeous UI on all their apps too.
iOS 5 only

Cough! Splutter.... cough! What?!??
Hahahahaha! The funniest joke I've heard all day!! LOL!
Yeah it's 'okay' if you like that kind of "I'm lazy, write the tunes for me b***h" thing- but don't you think that Korg's Kaoscillator (which is remarkably similar) is just a tad better? :?
Or are we just doin' a bit of viral for Amidio? ;)
I've only started posting on here for a few days, found out about this very useful site at the weekend. I have also noticed that Tom tm seems to be very critical of some people's comments.
If I see value in songineer then please don't criticise me for that.i have koasscillate but I don't see how that is classified as a sequence in the same category.

Ninety-five percent of me is sure that first post was sarcasm. Five percent of me is very afraid though.
@antsharp
Trust the 5%
People's tastes and needs are relative, but why be afraid if someone likes an app?
"Ninety-five percent of me is sure that first post was sarcasm. Five percent of me is very afraid though."
I had the same reaction bro. But the comment seemed too crazy not to comment... ;)
@Anon...
Nowt wrong with a bit of constructive criticism. Especially as Amidio have had enough dollar off me already and I doubt that I'll ever see a return (of my money).
If you like Songineer, I'm not going to hold it against you, but there are far better sequencer apps in the Appstore, including the brilliant and lovely Nanostudio, as well as Beatmaker, Sunvox, Mixtikl et al. You'd be far wiser to get those (IMHO). But at the crazily cheap prices, you may as well collect them all! ;D
Liking the app is absolutely fine. But the claims in the first post are just ludicrous.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but no reason to be a dick about it...
If you don't like the amidio apps, why did u buy them in first instance? FYI the songineer version in app store is like a demo version, we are testing a full version which ifs fully enabled with effects, pasteboard, wave editor, audio tracks, the full shebang basically. Maybe I should have stated that first.
My apologies
Thank god, someone else likes lesser raved about apps
Audio prom is my own fave

Wishful thinking? We're all looking for the holy grail- or at least we were when iApps first came available?
Amidio are all about marketing. Their apps all seem to look like a stageset from an episode of 2nd gen Star Trek. They do look pretty cool. It's perhaps impossible not to fall for their visual marketing?
Yes, I read the hype (especially cool when Jordan gets involved), fall for it, press the 'buy' button, and the next thing I know, I've just blown £xxx at the Appstore for an app I'll probably get 10mins of amusement from. But that's my experience of Amidio. If you have an indifference, well bro, good for you! :)
...and in case you haven't realised, once you've pressed that little 'buy now' button, there's no going back/refund. ;) :)
Well, Amidio isn' very good as company, but:
Noise.Io was one of first synths and it's still has smth what nothing else have - i mean great flexibility.. I have made crazy really crazy patches on .Io, and only Jasuto gave me more weirdness.
Hexatone is really hard app if u need just drums, but it's very interesting, and nice for it's glitchy things
iHolophone is some fun for those who just wanna spend some time playing sounds
Well, i don't like Seline and other apps, but they have good visuals.
I actually like seline-don't shoot me!!! at certain times I just love playing around and making "music for aquariums"!!
I think Songineer’s sequencer is okay, and the app is fun for quickly making basic music. It’s not Nanostudio for sure, which is a much more powerful and serious app.
Amidio ruined noise.io website.
it's shitty coz there were user made presets , and there were really wonderful there , which can't be done in most synth apps
oh ><
