this demo uses the actual versions (no beta) of NLog & FL Studio. I am using "NLogSynth PRO" with "NLog MIDI Synth" in parallel. Each NLog is controlled from an individual FL track.
Future versions of NLogSynth PRO will become multi-timbral, i.e. multiple FL or MusicStudio tracks would trigger individual timbres of just a single NLogSynth PRO instance. I have this already running in my lab. So, I guess it will be next or after next update.
For sure, you can use just the current NLogSynth PRO version RIGHT NOW to integrate into FL Studio for a single track.
While this integrates very well into the FL or MusicStudio workflow, still some little things need to be improved:
- FL & Music Studio need to send note off messages for running notes when stopped. - FL & MusicStudio should implement "background audio" mode that you can keep them running and switch to NLog and tweak the sound - MusicStudio has a nice option to enable MIDI out for muted tracks. Would be nice to have it in FL Studio too
I strongly believe that is the direction mini DAWs on iOS shall & will go and was simply amazed what actually already works!
