I know we'll never get file system access (from Apple) but with iOS 5 supposedly being the version that sets us free from the PC, where does iTunes file sharing come in? Why can't we have one, just one shared folder, that can be accessed from within the phone? Every music app would have access to the same samples.
Or even equal access to the Music Library...currently ANY app that access tracks from the music library has to cache the track selected locally....so if you're running lots of DJ apps, then your app cache is going to grow - I think the cache gets cleared eventually, but it will continue to eat space for some time and I don't think you can control when the cache gets cleared either.

Access to the filesystem would be awesome, but it will never happen.
Apple now requires OSX apps to be sandboxed or else they won't put them in the OSX appstore.
