Can some kind person please tell me if the sounds you get with the pro ugrade the same ones that are available as seperate IAP packs?
Also, are there any audio problems when using it with the io dock?
With this update, and the price reduction, this app is suddenly very tempting as a stand alone iOS synth.
Dubstep, Dance & Trance and Guitar Mutations
i already have the pro version, and had to buy these new packs as IAP, so i think "pro" and "new sound packs" are 2 different purchases.
Must be me...but i think that 15$ is still a bit high for the pro version. Should have been 50% off .
Especially since you still are buying more sounds and packs.
I am going to hold off the upgrade till it goes down and there is compatibility with other apps and performance is improved.
I don't understand about the Pro being able to load presets from the desktop version. The libraries from the desktop version are huge- well over a gigabyte IIRC.
So if you load a preset, does it also copy to the iPad whichever samples are needed?
@Anon 2
So what are the extra sounds you get with the pro version?
Pro version expands the factory bank. Makes it a useful go to assortment whereas it felt like a 'sampler' (tester) collection beforehand.
Beginning to be useful but it seems you can't record and bounce sound morphs/tweaks just note sequences. Shame if so because that's the alchemy of Alchemy isn't it?
@Synch
Really? I nearly bought the pro version on the grounds that I'd be able to export to other apps for multitrack goodness. Lack of recorded morphing makes it much less attractive...
I feel the same way... it seems a bit too expensive with the other in-app sound packs and without the ability to record the morphing (I presume that this is to enable morphing after recording, but I don't think it makes it into the final mixdown). Also, if one doesn't own the desktop version, I think the mobile version is pretty limited in sound creation... it they allowed creation through a less-expensive editor, I would be more inclined to purchase this...
