Synse THAG for iPhone arrives

A new Synse app! I really enjoyed the last one so I'm looking forward to trying out this one too. Here are the details:

We've got a fresh visual music set for you: Synse THAG! Video artist Anne Lucht captured a casual kitchen sit-in between a low-res alien gang and their hooded flatmates, bopping their heads to Lorenz Rhode's krautrocky tune TELEPHONE HELICOPTER APPLAUSE GUNSHOT.

Synse is an interactive Visual Music App: It combines controlling music and visuals with Multitouch and creates a unique audiovisual experience.

I really liked Synse as well, although this one I've found the audio&visual to be a little glitchy on both iPad 1 and iPod Touch (4th gen). I've closed all multi-tasking apps and am on airplane mode. The idea is great (in the same way Synse was), this app does just have 1 scene and 1 track to play with - but for 69p, there's little to complain about.

...It looks like they've just issued an update for iOS 5 for the iPhone/iPod Touch version, so this might be behind the glitchiness.

I don't get this. What doses it do?

The update fixed the issue I was having on my iPod touch.

@Anonymous, What you're doing is triggering audio and video through pressing one of the 8 video buttons along the top/bottom of the display. When you do, the corresponding element plays (& loops) in the central video section. For example, the kick drum is the 2 little fellas by the toaster, the synthy pong sounds are the 2 green chaps in front of the microwave, the bassline are the 3 dancing characters in the fridge.

It's all quite a pleasant way to while away the time on a bus/train without needing to create new music...you're mucking about with someone else's track.

Just for fun, y'know?

...the original Synse app had a number of different videos/tracks to play with, whereas this one is 1 track and 1 video.
