Got a chance to open up the audio/midi setup on my new MacBook pro(happy me). I sat down and went through all my midi wifi apps and the few I have worked great.
Pianist pro was my first test and that app was a dream to use.
I also tried out polychord but had a few issues with stuck notes and I was scrambling for a midi panic! button. If the app is going to have issues with stuck notes then a panic button should be a necessary evil. Sorry but that's my tale on poly chord.
I did find that pianist pro is flawless in every midi transmit ion I feed and it will probably be my goto midi wifi controller until I learn how to program Control(touch osc).
The meteor update was not the 1.1.we had been waiting for. It was on 1.01. It does not have any of the midi editing features shown in their preview. I'm assuming this update will come middle august as stated previously. I just wanted to point out this correction so people don't get excited. The main thing added in this update is stereo recording.
Wha... Wait... I have version 1.11. I upgraded a few days ago when it came out. It has the midi in it and I purchased the extra midi editor IAP which seems to work fine. Haven't hooked it up to any midi devices yet, though.
Yep, just tested my meteor app with a keyboard and the midi works fine....
Even got it to turn on and off my loop banks on my Kaossilator Pro.
Sorry, one last post about Meteor! It will record my performance on my Kaossilator Pro perfectly. While in normal mode I can just play it with turning on an off loop banks and using the screen, changing instruments turning on and off the gate arp and it keeps track of them all to play back as I played it! The only thing is you have to manually set the Tremulo level back to zero at the end of the recording or it will hold the note on the Kaossilator Pro.
This is an awesome app!!!
With all this MIDI IAP's, all Meteor needs now is a built in sampler! ;)
Addictive and Meteor on my iPad,
ShapeSynth on my iPhone.
Nanostudio on both!
Who could ask for more? :D
Ok so I found out my problem. Meteor doesn't update automatically nor does it show up in the update list. I had manually update it twice to get the 1.1 update.
