FINALLY! Stereo recording and a proper midi "out" sequencer :)
I am officially one happy camper today! Will post back with some impressions after some time spent with it.

I just spent a few minutes in and u like the new updates.

The one thing that STILL causes me the most grief has not changed and that is the "trim" function. It is still unable to do simple resizing of parts. The grab handles either don't recognize my touches or the app is s overworked that maybe I am just expecting fast response like I get out of multitrack DAW. If I was to drop my other "DAW" of choice and go for this I need no hesitations no frustrations.

The update made me happy. Then trying to edit my song brought me back to the reality which is why I have not made this my go to "DAW". Perhaps more iPad 2 users are having better luck. My iPad 1 doesnt seem to respond well. Too bad as this is such a fully featured beautiful app. It's just far too ahead of it's time as far as first gen iOS tablet devices are concerned. Good luck guys.

Strange. I can use the trim function fine here (iPad 1). I'm a logic man originally, and yes, the display isn't as responsive as my Mac with a mouse, but this is pretty good as it stands.

However I still haven't made up my mind about using an iPad as a DAW. Those Tascam DP008's look pretty tasty! :)

I can't get the fx working for love or money. Any ideas?
