Thanks I did the 24 track upgrade and was surprised to see there was a program upgrade with more effects and routing options that came through tonight. Great app

I'm thinking of getting this and would really like any feedback you could offer.

MultiTrack DAW is the most flexible multi-track audio recording app. The controls (once you understand them) are very easy to get around on a iphone screen. There are insert track eq and compression as well as global and aux effects. It runs smoothly. You can edit your audio well. In my opinion it is the best iphone DAW and the developer keeps improving and upgrading it.

I have to use Monie to translate pasting. This is pretty normal but if you want to bring in stuff from your synth apps (that do not use the same paste protocols) that is what you have to do. I also do some audio editing/processing in Hokusai (due to the large number of effects mostly to prepare samples for NanoStudio or Beatmaker)

I also use Garage Band for some projects but that is because I can do some midi backing with audio in app. I find Garagebands drums easy to program and that is a plus but in DAW i bring drums across from Funkbox, iElectribe or Mo Drum and paste the bits of audio to make the drum parts. If it is a midi thing I use NanoSstudio mostly or sometimes Beatmaker 2 (for a sample intensive project)

The advantage of garage band or n-track is taking the file over to the computer to do the big stuff. If you like me work alot all in phone than MultiTrack DAW is the way to go and you get the basic 8 track version at a not too steep price and see if the workflow works for you and if it does you get the upgrades to more tracks. I bought it when it came out and it is my favorite of the audio DAWs for iphone

@Garloo
Thank you very much for your excellent review and also the insight into your workflow.
I'm probably going to do something very similar, and have most of the other apps you mention.
I'm always interested in apps that work well on both iPhone and iPad, as most of the time I use the iPhone and some apps either don't run on both, or just feel way to cramped.
Thanks again, it's much appreciated.
