AmpliTube has arrived


IK Multimedia releases their AmpliTube app for the iPhone in three flavours today. The full app retails at £11.99 ($19.99), the LE version is much cheaper at £1.79 and there's a free version too. Both the LE and free versions have in app purchase stores inside.

Here's the details for the full version of the app:

I'm quite excited by this. I've got the free version and it works nicely on my iPad with the built-in sounds. Since the iPad doesn't support my Macally dock-connector mic I've not tried plugging my guitar in yet. Also I can't install it on my iPhone as it requires OS 3.1.3 and I've been holding off on the upgrade until 4.0 arrives...

I think I might hack together a "guitar bud" and use my Micro BR to output the guitar at line level.

I'd like to buy the full version of iRig but there's another new similar app mentioned in the last day or so that has caught my eye.

Then, of course, there's the pending iPad version of iRig!!!
