OpenFrameworks courses

I got an email about some openframeworks events / courses coming up which might be of interest to a few of you.

Jeremy Rotsztain and Keith Pasko will be providing a gentle and thorough introduction to openframeworks at the public school. Not to be missed if you are in the LA area.

While sadly, the website lists the registration as closed (we apologize as we missed this workshop in the last email), we encourage interested folks to check about availability, and further more, to propose to take or teach classes at the public school, which are located in many cities around the world.

Open Source Creative Coding, V&A London UK, January 29

Technology is increasingly being used to deliver messages in a variety of formats, many in the real world. Open Source coding techniques are enabling new forms of collaboration and creativity. This workshop with Hellicar & Lewis will demonstrate how to use OpenFrameworks Open Source platform to create real world installations that educate, inspire and intrigue. You will learn the basics of OpenFrameworks and explore how using software in an Open Source fashion can allow for innovation and more time for creativity, rather than endless re-invention of the wheel, and how computer programming knowledge can inspire appraisal of areas such as Graphic Design, Sculpture, Play and Anthropology. Suitable for beginners with basic computer skills. Part of the Decode exhibition programme.

Tutors: Joel Gethin Lewis and Pete Hellicar
