You know, I was originally very psyched about this product but the price point totally destroys any interest. I'd love to see more mini keyboards developed in the future, like Casio and Yamaha did in the 1980s. These were wonderful toys, at a great price point, some of which had tons of interesting functionality.
I just don't see the point of this product anymore, other than it being a very nice proof of concept product for a range of low-cost keyboards.
Wow, thats less than I was expecting by a lot, I figured more like $1,100-$1,200.
Its like Teenage Engineering climbed into my brain, took all my idea's for a perfect hardware music device and then made it happen, I can't wait for this.
Yeesh. I was expecting $250, maybe $400 at most. That might push it from my 'possible' list to 'awesome but won’t ever get around to getting one' list.
Hopefully it will take off and they’ll update pricing ala Apple did with the iPhone.
I agree with Pierre.
It's a great concept, but I just don't understand the price point.
Why make it look old school VL-esque and slap on 700.00?!
At best. 350.00
Or make it an app for 1.99. ha.
