AudioTools has had an update. Here's what's new:
  • Added new module, "SPL Traffic Light" (optional at extra cost). Track live venue SPL levels over time, watch for exceeding limits as the "light" changes from green to yellow, and to red.
  • Added new module, "Impulse Response" (optional at extra cost). Record an impulse or sine-sweep, computes octave nd 1/3 octave ETC, T30, C50, C80, CT, Definition, S/N, and shows the FFT.
  • Added new module, "Microphone Monitor" (free).
  • Added new module, "File Utility" (free), to upload raw data files for some functions to Mac / PC via WiFi
  • Added new module, "Calculator" (free), with dB Conversions, SPL Addition, Wavelength/Frequency Calculations, Reactance Calculator, and Room Mode Calculator
  • Added new module, "General Settings" (free)
  • Added demo videos for in-app purchases
FFT improvements:
  • Added 3 types of windowing
  • Added FFT clear graph button to save/recall screen
  • Upgraded FFT engine for faster screen updates
  • Now allows 32k FFT with newest iPhone and iPod touch models

  • Added A & C weighting options to overall dB
  • Now correctly recalls decay mode
  • When saving files, overwrite confirm box appears if file already exists.

This is the update I have been waiting for. Saw these guy at AES. Great application package. The impulse response program lets you record a room impulse response on my iphone, analyze it and then upload to my laptop for use in convolution reverbs in protools. Awesome!
