BleepBox site gets a refresh
A little bit more useful than before and easier to find information on the home page, yet still no sign of the updated app which is a real shame.
All Things DS-10 starts to review the DS-10+
I'm sure he'll continue this review in subsequent posts, but so far it is interesting to see how he gets on with the new version.
HHH on Clapboard apps for the iPhone

Handheld Hollywood has a good post on Clapboard apps for the iPhone. I think I bought one early and never use it. Some of the apps in this post seem quite advanced though so maybe I should look again?
YUDO puts out a new app

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this new app from YUDO. It isn't really what I was expecting from them next. On the one hand I want to buy it to see what it is like, and on the other I'm not sure it is going to do anything for me.
If anyone's tried it please let me know what you think.

KrisM's top 10 iPhone apps
Here' KrisM's top 10 iPhone apps In no particular order:
JR Hexatone Pro
(I would love for a desktop plugin of this to use with Live, though i can import loops so it's still pretty easy)

Niose.io Pro
(desktop plugin?? )

Intua Beatmaker

Dopplerpad
(wonderful fun)

Bleep!box

Thump

technoBox

Aura
(fun and intuitive interface for ambient stuff)

Curtis

probably TouchDJ when it comes out (yeah me to Kris).
Some nice choices there, and good to see that Thump gets a mention too. Thanks Kris.

FourTrack integration over multiple apps
According to a tweet from FourTrack the 3.0 version will enable integration with DopplerPad, InstantDrummer and Vox 3000. I wonder how it will compare with ioLibrary integration from Amidio and if the two will come together at some point?
Ideally I'd like to see integration to Beatmaker too and eventually into MultiTrack, the 16 track recorder, but I guess we need to take 1 step at a time.
Retronyms apps (DopplerPad and Vox 3000)

Sonoma apps (FourTrack and InstantDrummer):

DopplerPad 1.6, now I get it
I was starting to think that I really had missed something here, but thankfully I hadn't. According to this post from Retronyms the new version of DopplerPad with audioCopy won't work until version 3.0 of FourTrack is available, which should be any time now I hope.

Pete Cole: Mixtikl update
Looks like we're getting much closer to the release of Mixtikl on all platforms, and a new browser plugin for Mixtikl too according to this post from Pete Cole.
I'm really looking forward to the latest version of Mixtikl on my Axim, and especially to seeing the iPhone version too.

- Relabel "novel" and "chapter" to better reflect what you are writing.
- Include metadata in exports.
- Include research notes, links, maps, and photographs.
- Support for characters and character aliases.
- Support for story locations.
- Support for any number of novels and chapters. (Full version only.)
- Summary information by novel and chapter
- Target word count tracking by chapter and novel
- Timeline support
- Export as plain text to Ulysses and most other writing applications via email
- Export to Scrivener via email
- Wireless synchronization to Auteureist™ using the companion Maciontosh Auteureist™ Sync application.
- Built-in blogging and posting support to Posterous.com. Use Auteureist™ as a blogging tool.
Concretedog Gig: 30/10

If you're in the area at the end of the month then do take a look in. I'm hoping we can see some video after the event for everyone who couldn't get to it. More details at Concretedog's blog.
If you've got a gig coming up that uses any sort of handheld music hardware then let me know so I can publicise it.
Track made in Sunvox

It is worth mentioning this track made in Sunvox which will give you a clue as to just how good this application really is.
UPDATE: I should note that this track isn't mine it was made by Alex the developer of Sunvox.

CDM on openFrameworks in iPhone development
CDM has a great post on Thump and the use of openFrameworks in iPhone developement. The article also covers RJDJ and their use of Pd in their apps. Interesting stuff all in all.
Problem with comments
RJDJ London Sprint

Sounds like the RJDJ London was a big success. I wish I'd been there.
If anyone is writing their own scenes or planning to I'd be interested to hear about how you're getting on.
Strange Agency at an interesting event
The Strange Agency are talking about their apps at this event, which looks really interesting. I wish there was stuff like stuff around London, or do I just miss it?
LaDiDa - Reverse Karaoke and CDM's view
CDM (always a good read) has this post on LaDiDa. I posted about this app before which composes music for you based on what you sing into it.
I think I'm going to treat myself to this app and find a quiet corner to see what it can do.
