What's your top 10 apps at the moment? Want to share it? Get in touch and let me know which apps they are and they can go on the blog. Just say which apps they are and why they're in your top ten. If you really want to you can explain how your top ten has changed over time as well. Let the lists begin!
2 comments:
1. Ipolysix - (powerful & easy to manage)
2. Korg Gadget (awesome sound, it should be in landscape mode too, for my ipad 2 is a bit too cpu power "consumer"
3. ims-20 (startin' to appeciate it after getting a little more into synth like mind)
4. audiobus 2 (no explanation needed)
5. loopy hd (great to sketch tune or to make a whole tune in the old acoustic way or with audiobus 2 to capture synths sound)
6. harmonywiz (I am having some fun with this... just to think only to melody and see what the arrangment will be)
7. iSem (I like his sound)
8. iKaossilator (was the top, now I am using less, but it's still a great idea, should have more flexibility... like with the synths of gadget... )
9. Caustic 3.1 (it's great like gadget, the synths are more flexible and cpu-friendly than gadget, but the ones of gadget have - perhaps - a better sound, but if you go into deep with Caustic I think you can have really good sound, it is very flexible and the chance to mix the sound is better than in gadget that has few mixing and fx stuff (but the synths of gadget are great... only more cpu is needed, for the new ipad there are no problems)
10. Galileo Organ (I like the sound of this organ)
I'll bite:
1: Alchemy - Crank up a luxurious pad sound close your eyes and float.
2: Animoog - Biting to Beautiful
3: iSEM - Powerful "analog"
4: Garageband/Cubasis - Sorry it's a toss up. GB for it's great internal instruments and flexible playability, Cubasis for it's more advanced DAW features and automation.
5: Jamup Pro: I'm a classical player so I appreciate the acoustic amp and modeling features
6: Thor - Super-flexible and deep
7: Thumbjam - Organic control over a nice sample set and usable as a midi controller as well
8: DM1: Great library of classic drum machines and song mode.
9: DrumJam: Lots of world and acoustic instruments and a flexible and intuitive programming mode.
10:Geo Synth - Love the playability of the interface
Runners up:
Session Band Jazz: Best accompaniment software
Notion: Comprehensive notation and cross platform compatibility
Audiobus: Pulls it all together
Guitar Toolkit: Great reference
Loopy HD: Awesome looper
AC7 Pro HD - Nice control of Logic 8 and 9
Bebot: I think the first music app I ever bought. He's my best buddy...and so dapper!
