Thingamagoop 2 on eBay
This is a lovely gadget. I've got the earlier version and I love playing with it. They are pricey, but great fun if you like noise makers.

I can remember when these came out they were very popular indeed and I saw a few hacked too. It's going quite cheap too.

Teenage Engineering OP-1 custom wooden case on eBay
You have to admit that this is lovely, and it looks as though it's been beautifully made too, but at £140 it is a bit steep!

Updates to the MIDI Pattern Sequencer site
There's some new pages over at the MIDI Pattern Sequencer site showing features / screenshots etc and generally making the app a bit more accessible all round.
You can find it here, and the app is on the app store by clicking the button below.
PS. Don't forget that there's CC/RPN/NRPN automation coming in the next update to this app! That's going to be awesome!

As a big fan of the Shruthi I thought I'd post a link to this one on eBay. They're not cheap, but they are fantastic.

Hackme Rockit Synthesizer in steampunk / dieselpunk styled case on eBay
An interesting synth on eBay right now with 4 days to go.
This is a handmade Rockit synthesizer designed by Hackme Electronics and built from their circuit board. It is a monophonic digital-analogue hybrid using two 8 bit VCO's through a digitally controlled analogue filter and VCA (with 2 LFO's thrown in for good measure). All parameters are directly controllable on panel (and via midi cc). It is powered by 6 x AA batteries (rechargeables are fine). It weighs 1.8kg.
Lots more detail on the eBay listing. Click below

Apple adding 128 gb iPad to range
You've probably seen this already, but I thought I'd post it more to ask what you think about it? Lots of sites and commentators are saying that it's because of the Surface Pro and it's just a reaction to that. I don't think it'll mean too much for mobile music except of course that you're now able to carry even more in your iPad, but other than that not a great deal.
So is it a reaction to Microsoft? That's not a very 'Apple' response.

Audiobus updates to version 1.0.2
The bus is getting better ... Here's what's new:
- New preferences pane allowing users to choose between a 512 and 256 frame hardware buffer size:
- ⚠ Please choose 512 if you're experiencing stuttering audio. Choose 256 if you want the fastest response time for live play. Only iPad 3, 4 and iPhone 5 default to 256 now, all other devices to 512. ⚠
- Apps are now sorted alphabetically in the input/output/effects pop-over windows.
- New status bar in the Audiobus main screen, showing current hardware buffer size and battery status. We don't want you to run out of juice in the middle of a jam!
- Some minor bugfixes.
A bit of slynthy ...
bip on the bus!

30 Years of MIDI
I suppose that's fun, and if nothing else it's interesting to see where it's gone from and too.
Reminder: CDR Tod Dockstader project
I little reminder about this project from our friends at CDR which is seeing some interesting results now. Really worth a look. Here are the samples ...
"We die alone" made with Buddha Machine and Shapesynth
This track was made with the Buddha Machine 1 and 2 fed through a Korg Mini KP and the shapesynth app on a 2nd gen ipod touch and was recorded on a Tascam DP 004 4-track.

Portable Musician, how did I not know about this?
This looks like a great resource. It covers a bit more than pure mobile, as it is 'portable', but still very much worth a look.
