I just sample directly from my iPad via the line in and it takes seconds. I think he did it the long, convoluted way. This thing rocks! I do most of what I need to do alone on it. I just use the iPad as a sound source. The only thing I have found that bugs me is the lack of changing the attack on the sample, so that you have to edit it outside of the microSAMPLER if you need to.
