Nice track. But it's just a shame that in order to create it, the composer needed a heap load of extra gear that literally cost $$$$'s.

Can people just demonstrate how powerful an OP-1 can be without having all the extra gear tacked on to it?

Well. I agree with you to some degree on showing what the little bastard can do on it's own.

But that would be kinda like saying,"man,I wish that guy with that 69 Fender strat would not run it through so many stomp boxes.....". Somethings just sound better(and more fun)when you can stack gear. Plus these are not cheap little devices so I imagine most owners are going to have other gear on hand to experiment with anyway.

Wouldn't you? :). If I had 1/2 of the stuff this guy probably has I would be programming hardware all day instead of just an iPad :(. Later freesoul

Maybe I will just take a few magic markers and some duct tape to a Korg Nano combo and just pretend I own one for a minute.

It will be my joke-p1. :)

@freesoulvw...

Yeah you do have a point there. :)

I suppose I was reacting to another post by an anonymous poster who was claiming that the OP-1 is crap (which it isn't).

Actually I'd be quite happy with just an OP-1. But yeah it would be great to also have the dosh to own a Fenix and a $20,000 Buchla Electric Music Box too!! :)

Yep, it is crap... Heard better, more complete tracks coming from just iPhone and NanoStudio...
What a waste of money.
Ones the hype dies over, they'll be selling these things for $100 and even then I wouldn't consider one...

forget lusting after buchla gear,
its only cool because of the way u can control it!

and u cant take it with u, or would u drag around your buchla 200e every weekend?

Wow, some pretty jealous comments, I think he is just a guy using his gear how he sees fit, the OP-1 is great and you'd wait a long time to find one for $100, maybe you shoulda tried harder at school so you could afford one?

I just don't get the jealousy.

@Anon2...

Are you not jealous? Just a tinsy wincy little bit? Oh come on, I bet you are? ;D

Whoops... I meant Anon1!

Cripes! these Anons eh? Hehe

Envious yes, but I don't see the point of slagging a guy off because he has some nice kit and went to the trouble of making a video to demo it.

Calling it a waste of money is daft, it is the guys money to spend on what he wants, I'd like to hear the other anon guy make something like this in nanostudio, its a good app but not quite capable of these sounds, and to say it is demonstrates ignorance.

This is from a guy who probably has never spent more than 20$ for music equipment :D
