I have said it before and I will say it again : Tabletop would be a fantastic host for plugins. The modular approach would be perfect to chain plugins the way we want to.
Sure no everyone wants this, but I think it would make a great addition to IOS5.

Why are they pushing WIST instead of concentrating on MIDI development?! It's not like everyone has two iPads lying around ;)
I have 2 iPads, but I don't leave them lying around. Lol.
