I have to say I expected more, their page states

"syncs with other midi gear" what they means is acts as midi master.

Why would anyone want to use it as master ? Although experimental the timing is aweful.

Soundstudio HD should act as slave and should work as well as genome, steppolyarp etc.

No velocity editing, no reply to tech support emails.

That's weird about the tech support. I have Meteor and they got right back to me and we exchanged a few emails. The problem got fixed in the next release.

But I know what you mean about the lack of midi in. I want to be able to record notes using my keyboard instead.

I will check later, but can't you modify velocity with the Modulation Sequencer?

There are a bunch of hidden thing in it that I didn't think I could do at first. Definitively not super intuitive.

You can automate volume but you realy should be able to alter each steps velocity and gate time and pitch really.

Isn't velocity just the note's volume (or are you talking about attack) and you wouldn't you change the note's pitch on the grid.

Do you mean automating a sample's pitch?

You can only change the gate time for each block or layer not sure which one. But you can do note hold which sort of simulates having different gate times.

Just checked the Modulation Sequencer out and it isn't for what I thought it was for. You actually have to play and record your automation on the fly to get the velocity changes. You can't manually change then per step.

I guess I hoped for basic functions like per step velocity/gate/pitch

And of course external midi sync.
