Sample lab rejects my midi USB controller like it has the plague. It will turn every sound into mush and lock my iPad up quick. I have had to hard reboot my iPad from midi issues. The first time I have ever had my iPad do that. The app is very clean but I have had some trouble with the file system and punch in records straight through the iPad mic so if you have any background noise at all even a fan going it will pick it up and add it to the track. It also makes the recorded sound less quality due to the fact that the mic is picking up the sounds from the speaker playing out the opposite side and the iPads speaker is not high fidelity. The app works but it really is pushing the iPads processor to the point of no return. I have had luck using the factory samples and the sequencer so if you are looking for a good step sequencer for your samples and don't already have one then this app might be for you. Good luck with that.
