If you've been in the extensive comments on the Horizon synth launch you'll have seen that the app is coming to the iPhone/Touch and the Mac too. Which is excellent news.

iPhone version will be available in about 2-3 weeks. It will be exactly the same app, except reduced polyphony on iPhone 3GS. iPhone 1 & 2g will not be supported. Some additions:
- XY harp like interface
- Gyroscope Theremin-like mode (iPhone 4 only)

well done. You'd hope anyone with a decent synth engine would make it available on ipod/phone too. If only as a voice expander for their ipad app. Isn't that what wist was made for Korg???

Mac as an AUi? Price?

For Theremin mode: the iPod Touch 4 has a gyroscope too!

@giku

XY "harp like" interfaces and grids like Mugician makes the best use out of touchscreens.

Any chances to see that in the ipad version?

@Anonymous: It will be cheap, believe me :)
@dswo: Yes, I meant all 4th gen devices
@johnnyg0: Yes both versions will have this

But will there be a manual first? Some of the controls are not quite obvious ...

I bought it but need to update to 4.3 to use it. I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the hassle. ( I've got lots of paid for jailbreak utilities and gigs of samples that most likely won't back up with iTunes and a manual update would take a day!) i was trying to hold off until ios5 but this app tempts me.

Today I had the joy of being able to plug my (now) ageing 1st gen iPod Touch running Nanostudio 1.2, into my Akai Synthstation25. Fantastic! The combination worked really well (and the output was really loud- which it is not with just the headphone output).

I wish more developers would least try to support these pre 4.3 units, rather than insisting that the software only works in 4.3 and upwards. That would mean more fun for those who can't afford the latest and greatest. We don't just want Palm's running Bhajis yer know! ;)

@Tom TM .... I'm off to charge up my 1st Gen iPod Touch .... poor thing ... now so neglected and once so grand and supreme.
