8BIT Studio Arrived

After a couple days of pretty big app launches here's another app which sounds quite interesting and could be fun. Here's the app's description:

8Bit Studio - the only circuit bent 8bit SID synth for your iphone! Customize your patterns using the built in step sequencer or play live on the retractable keyboard then bend and distort the sound using the touch contacts!

Features 128 steps of memory, 8 keyboard patches, 13 drum sounds, all sampled from the Atari Commodore SID Chip.

y"know, this showed up in the app store about an hour or two before Fruity Loops and I held off until later-

after being massively underwhelmed with FLM, I decided to grab it and it's been fun- I've logged more time with it than FLM so far-

I really wish the circuits were better samples though or at least tighten up the "randomness" as it is very predictable.

i was happy with cleansing out my itunes balance for it, UNTIL I saw that Super Borther Swords and Sorcery was on sale for the same price.

What a nice surprise! Instant purchase from me, especially considering I still fiddle around 8bitone :)

Me too. It's either sword/sworcery or 8 bit studio(iPad)
Already bought my fav songs from sword/sworcery so it will be cool to actually play then in a game setting.

Lone star is my fav track. I can walk around town listening to that like a soundtrack to the city. Awesome beat.

FREESOULVW,

Get the game- it's sick.

A great C64 SID VST that happens to be free is: Basic64.

You wont need a midi controller to use it either..

Basic64 is much better than this..

8bit Studio is worth as much as its pricing... 99cents.. Its really not that great..
