Funkbox is coming into the audiocopy world very soon. The next update will include audiocopy to this drum app. A good reason to check it out.
I'll be posting more on this and how it integrates with other apps in the audiocopy world when it arrives.

Everything is great about that app except the actual sounds, which for the most part sound nothing like their actual counterparts and have effects like reverb on the original samples. I love the visual design of it and the concept, but I'd seriously love it if they replaced the "sample CD" sounds with real-deal samples of the original beatboxes.
The samples were actually recorded by me directly from the original machines. They are all old and analog, and nobody's 808 sounds exactly the same any more after 30 years, but yeah, they are the real deal. I tried not to slather on too many effects on them, but it's a tough because some people hear the raw unprocessed sounds and say -- that's not what I heard on the mixed, mastered, and DJed record at the club -- while others like yourself prefer it very raw. I tried to get somewhere in the middle. Hard to make everyone happy!
Here's a pic of some of them in my studio, along with FunkBox on the iPad: http://syntheticbits.com/random/funkboxdrums.jpg
Anyway, I will look into trying to put some alternate versions of the sounds in a future version. The 808 and 909 in particular have a lot of settings, so some different variations would be nice.
Also note that you can export the beats you make as MIDI, and then just use your own samples and effects in your DAW.
Last thing, to add audio copy I had to rewrite the audio engine from scratch... and the timing is now very tight.
Update was submitted Tuesday, so hopefully it will show up soon.
i love funkbox and until the recent release of akai's synth station no other app featured the cr78 and mini pops sound samples that funkbox has.
however, the timing in the current release renders the app unusable as a drum machine as the timing is loose to say the least.
having read synthetic bits post here..... he states in the next update the timing will be very tight ..... glad to here that now i'm really looking forward to the update !
