Apple have told us that there are over 100 new features in iOS4, but there site only lists a handful so I'll have to content myself with those.
Today I'll start off with one of the really big new features. Multitasking.
So what does multitasking bring to mobile music? It is a good question, and when I really think about it I don't have any very good answers to be honest.
My guess is that iOS4 won't let you record with one app while you play a synth in another. So what will it offer for mobile music? Will I be able to leave an app rendering to WAV while I check my mail? No big deal really.
I'd really like to hear from developers as to what they think multitasking will bring for mobile music, and from users as to what you'd like to be able to do with it.

I use backgrounder for a few apps, like Bebot. When I open Bebot usually it takes about 10 seconds until its ready (splash screen, etc), with backgrounder I click on Bebot and I'm there, automatically, there is no waiting at all.
Unfortunately Apple has denied 2G users multitasking, because a 2 years old device is just too hard for them to deal with. In the meantime, my 10 years old Palm does multitasking.
